Mama D`s Pizza in Calvert City

Staff was friendly and attentive. Pizza and lasagna were great.

NOT WHAT I QUITE EXPECTED! WAS WITH A GROUP OF 8. SOME LIKED THEIR FOOD, BUT WASN'T WHAT THE THOUGHT OF WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU WAS GETTING. MY STAR RATING WOULD BE 2.

I've tried three dishes and none disappointed. The sausage parm hero sandwich is the real deal! Friendly service, too!

Sweeping the floors near us while we were eating, NOT GOOD! This is a BIG pet peeve! of mine! Great food though! Food gets 5 stars! Service not so much, maybe a strong 3.

Not enough topping for a large or for the price. I thought the sausage would be round like Italian sausage but wasn't wont get from there again the dough was a little tough to chew.

I have stayed in Calvert City overnight multiple times. I don't know why I've never tried this place! Food and service was great! Will be back!

The pasta was extraordinary and the pizza was delicious although it was missing a bit more pepperoni. It's a great place to relax and eat food.

I am a skeptical person when traveling and trying new places, but I went along with my husbands adventurous side to try new things. Im glad I did...this time. 😉 The service itself can make or break or place and our server was very friendly and attentive, and from what I observed all the staff was. The fried raviolis for an appetizer were perfectly fried with that perfect golden crispness I love. Our pasta dishes came out quickly and were piping hot...like steaming for a good 10 minutes, but it gave us enough time to finish the raviolis and salads. The penne vodka dish was loaded with sauce, which for me was perfect, I love sauce! I added chicken which was cut up and not left as strips, which again was perfect for me because lets face it, I dont want to spend time cutting up my chicken over my pasta when Id been driving for 10+ hours. 😁 Its the little things. Quaint little place and Id absolutley go there again!!

Food is delicious if you get waited on!!!! I waited 20 minutes order never taken!!! Will not be back!!!!

The bread was so hard you couldn't hardly eat it. An the price was Diffently over rated for the quality of the amount of food you got. Never will I eat there again.

DELICIOUS food...I got the chicken carbonara, and my man got the baked lasagna.. his words "I can taste every layer.. the cheese, the sauce, the meat, the pasta..mmm.." also, our waitress is awesome 🙂

I Love this place. Lunch with the gals this week. Also, Stopped by for a take home pizza this week.Conveniently located. Easy to see from the street. Large parking lot in case you have a boat or camper, even if you drive a semi. Best chicken parmesan. :)

Pizza is pretty good. Staff is friendly. Spicy pasts is very spicy but very good if you like spicy foods.

Service was excellent. Waitress was polite, knowledgeable, & took care of us promptly. Atmosphere was attractive, food was tasty & plentiful. Nice evening.

First time to eat there, told them that at the counter as I was waiting to be seated. It was around 5:30 pm, The place was almost empty. There were 3 other tables that had people at them. So there were at least 25 other empty tables. I was led to the very back to a very small table directly beside the kitchen door, not where someone wants to be. I looked at the menu and asked about sweet tea, to which the waitress said "nope." So I just ordered water, and an Italian beef sandwich. She left and came back with a bottle Nestle water and a glass of ice. (Yes, they charged for the water...) about 25 minutes later she brought out my sandwich, it was a decent size, very bland meat, super soggy bread that was like shoe leather on the outside. Not a terrible sandwich but not great either. My take, somewhat overpriced.Might try it again, if I get a good lead on what's "good" there.

This place is awesome. I got a to go order of the garlic knots and a Pizza roll and both are top notch. I'm glad I stopped in well worth the price

This is my first and last time eating here. My boyfriend and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs (what Italian place would mess this up?) It was very bland, the sauce tasted like it came out of a can.. The meatballs were dry.. I do not recommended

Pizza? YES!Even though there is a varied menu, we almost always end up ordering pizza.The crust is fantastic. The toppings are fresh.

Being originally from NJ my opinion on Italian food could be different that the locals. The pasta dishes were actually very good. They do make the bread in house but I was very disappointed in the bread. The salad is not very exciting, just iceberg lettuce. The service was fine and the people are typical Kentucky, very nice.

It was ok. I ordered fettuccine alfredo. You could tell it was definitely Microwaved and the sauce was broke. But the bread was on point

My wife, my son and I went in there to eat and my son is a very picky eater because he has sensory processing disorder so he does not handle change very well. But we always get our son a happy meal no matter where we go out to eat at because he will not eat anything from restaurants. But as soon as we got sat down the manager immediately came over there and told us we could not bring the happy meal in there. She said it was due to cross contamination which she clearly doesn't understand what that means because the only way it could contaminate there food would be if they took the happy meal back to the kitchen where all there food is at.

The food is absolutely delicious. Great for pick up.

Food is great but our order was given away to some buddies, we saw it happen. So we got to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for them to make ours again. Not Cool:-(

Love your food and service maybe consider some type of sound barrier the echo is very loud.

Very tasty Italian cuisine. Many of their menu items are made from scratch. Everything we ordered was excellent!

Wow it was super good, made with fresh ingredients and homemade. We got shrimp fettuccine and baked lasagna, it comes with salad and bread. Everything is light so don't worry to feel bad after eat and they deliver for $5. Trust me it's worth . I love it !!

Got our food to go. We live about 17 miles away from the place. It was still fresh and hot when we got home to eat it. Bread was soft. Pizza was cooked just right. Not burned or undercooked. If you like Italian and your in Calvert City? Stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Food was hot come out fast and in a nice portion. Was very pleased and the service was good too.

I have eaten ar Mama D's several times because my parents liked the food, however I was disappointed with the service and the food each time. The marinara sauce tastes like jarred sauce and pasta is over cooked to the point of rubber. I can make better sauce st home! This place is really mediocre at best. Service is slow even when they r not busy. Meatballs were like rubber with no taste at all. Bread is usually hard as a rock and have to ask for butter every time.

Great food. Huge portions at a great price. O got the Chicken F something. If you love lemon you'll love this. Chicken served with pasta with white wine and lemon sauce

It took an hour to recieve our food!!! We watched as others that came in after us, not only recieved their food before us, but also finish their food before ours came out!!! Very short staffed as there was only one waitress working the floor. When food did arrive it was hot and tasted ok. This is not our first bad experience here but it is our last.
